We love Ed Gray’s paintings of contemporary London. From Soho to the City, Arsenal to Millwall he captures the capital at its restless, challenging, dismal, glorious, everyday best.

A selection of Gray’s London prints are now on show at the top of the Gherkin, including the City view he painted from Searcy’s Club on the 38th floor. You can tour London’s Brilliant Parade for free on Tuesday evenings between now and Christmas. We can’t think of a better venue for an intimate look at these engrossing London scenes with magnificent views of the capital around you.

The exhibition is free but you must book your viewing in advance by email to GX Gallery and take ID with you. Once you’ve seen the pictures, stay for a drink in the Members Lounge or take the lift up higher and experience the bar with truly stunning views right at the very top of the building.

Ed Gray: London’s Brilliant Parade Limited Edition London Prints at the Gherkin is at Searcy’s Club, 30 St Mary Axe, London EC3A 8EP until 22 December. Open to the public on Tuesdays between 4-7pm. Book your free viewing by
