Office closed – Thursday 28 January 2016
The office will be closed all day on Thursday 28 January 2016 for staff training. It will re-open on Friday 29 January at 9.30am for business as usual.
If you have an emergency on 28 January please ring the Operations Manager on 07785 938509 or the Maintenance Supervisor on 07960 520542.
Our Board will be reviewing our plans for the year April 2016 – March 2017 at its meeting on 23 February and this is your opportunity to tell us your priorities.
The Board will be considering 3 major projects – the re-roofing of Jeannine House, improvements to the heating system at Jerome House enabling residents to have more control over their heating and the installation of new paving and planting at Sentosa. Much will depend upon the cost of these schemes for which, as yet, we don’t have firm prices. We also hope to carry out a number of other minor improvements such as continuing the programme of lighting replacement in common areas and upgrading of laundries (which is actually carried out by the laundry supplier).
If you have any further ideas or priorities – this could be improvements to buildings or services or even the way we run things please let me know email@example.com
We’ve booked two new shows.
We have tickets for Goodnight Mr Tom on Wednesday 17th February 7.30pm at Duke of York Theatre. The tickets are in the stalls and have a face value of £19.50 but we are selling them to you for just £12.
This is a stage version of Michelle Magorian's award-winning wartime novel Goodnight Mister Tom. It’s the story of boy who is evacuated from the London blitz, who is escaping an abusive parent and his developing friendship with the elderly man with whom he is staying. There are some great performances.
And we also have tickets for Shakespeare’s As you Like It on Tuesday 1st March 7.30pm at the National Theatre. The tickets are in the stalls with a face value of £50 and we are selling them for just £14.
This is a truly wonderful play – it’s a comedy – but it also contains some of Shakespeare’s most beautiful and insightful verse. And centre stage is Shakespeare’s greatest woman character, Rosalind. It’s also a very interesting production with an interesting set and wonderful music.
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for tickets.
The new bike store at Jerome can now be used. It’s located in the basement light well at the rear of the building and can be accessed via the other, lesser used, door at the front of the building. Follow the corridor to the end, enter the lobby and go down the two flights of stairs in the small middle staircase. At the base of the stairs there is a door to the new store. We hope you find it useful.
We are just completing the refurbishment of the common hallways at Sentosa.
