The Board approve the plan for the financial year 2019/20. Our major project is the replacement of the boilers at Jeannine House, which we’ll carry out over the summer commencing in June. This is a big job and we’ve already done much of the preparatory work. The boilers need to move to the back of the building. There should be minimal disruption to residents. Additionally we’ll be refurbishing the stairwell at 34 Chalcot to include new lighting and replacing the fire detection equipment at 8 Chalcot. There is also a lot of additional although minor work that we intend to carry out across all buildings to improve our Health and Safety regime as well as continuing our programme of bathroom and kitchen replacement.
Our Board met on 21 February and approved the budget and annual rent increase. We also agreed policies on complaints and anti-social behaviour. We began to plan for a Board strategy conference in September when we’ll look at plans for the next 5-10 years.
