As in previous years, Soho’s Berwick Street will be transformed into a mini-festival for what’s arguably the flagship Record Store Day event in London. Six acts including John Cooper Clarke, DJ Yoda and Young Knives play live from noon to 6pm, compèred by BBC 6 Music’s Shaun Keaveny. Plus, local record shops – Sister Ray, Phonica, Music and Video Exchange, Reckless Records and Sounds of the Universe – will be selling limited-editions vinyls and CDs. W1F 0PH

Bank of England Museum – Easter Egg trail

30 March – 2 April and 7-10 April, 10am-4.30pm, FREE

The Bank of England Museum has put together a treat for the whole family this Easter, complete with adventures and chocolatey goodness. Follow the Easter trail to find the chicks and eggs hidden throughout the museum, and decorate your own Easter animal finger puppet. Best of all, every child gets a chocolate egg to finish off the day.

Shaun in the City sculpture trail
28 March – 25 May, FREE

Keep your eyes peeled for colourful sheep which will be popping up at iconic landmarks and locations across London and the City. A flock of 50 sculptures of Shaun the Sheep have been designed by artists and celebrities, and families can follow the free art trail. The sculptures will be auctioned for Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity, to help children in hospitals throughout the UK.

Museum of London – Victorians at Easter

Join Museum of London for free Victorian craft making, object handling and stories throughout the holiday period. Make Easter bonnets, create a Victorian home, dress up and enter a black and white photograph, get carried away with nonsense rhymes, or get real with Dickens.

St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival

ST PATRICK’S DAY: The annual St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival takes place in Trafalgar Square with an Irish food market, children’s activities and lots of Irish community organisations. See Irish music, song and dance on the main stage. Free, just turn up, 12pm-6pm
