Wireless broadband for every resident

We’ve begun the roll out of wireless broadband at Jerome House with the installation of new fibre optic cabling. This should complete by the end of September and wireless broadband will then be available to all Jerome residents at a cost of £18.00 including tax per month. That’s a slight increase on what we’d previously estimated. You will not need a landline so that’s the total cost.  We are using the same supplier as we use at Anson/Carleton where it works pretty well. Over the next few months we’ll be extending this service to all our residences and we hope to complete the installation by the end of the year.

As we’ve already said it will be available at first only to those who actually want to opt into the service. However in the long term (as old residents leave and new residents arrive) we want to make it part of the overall package of services we provide.

We’ll keep you updated with the progress of this and let you know the precise process for opting into the service when we have further details.

DREAMTHINKSPEAK – looking for volunteers

Dreamthinkspeak is the experimental theatre company that performed the Drowned Man. We like to support their work. They are planning a new show in September which we’ll book tickets for. However they are looking for volunteers to help with the production. If you are interested follow the link below

Tube strike

More tube strikes are planned for 25th and 27th August. It’s quite likely that we will only be able to provide an emergency service on those days. We’ll keep you updated.
