Impala House is a group of early Victorian style properties set in the heart of beautiful Primrose Hill, close to Regents Park and London Zoo. The street often features in social media as one of the most beautiful streets in London.
Jeannine House is located in the fashionable and centrally situated Marylebone area a five-minute walk away from Baker Street Underground station and just a ten minute walk to Oxford Street.
We specialise in providing accommodation for postgraduate international students and their families. Zebra has over sixty years-experience and we have five sites across central London, each offering competitively priced flats in convenient locations. We provide student accommodation for single people, couples and families. Zebra is a not-for-profit organisation, and we provide attractive, safe and friendly environments for our students.
Our accommodation is convenient for all central London universities including Imperial College, London Business School, Royal College of Music, Royal College of Art, UCL, UAL and SOAS.
Because you will be living in student housing that is occupied by other postgraduates you’ll find you are living with like-minded people from across the globe in a supportive and friendly environment. Our postgraduate housing allows you to stay on as long as you are on a full time PhD or Masters course.
Please note: Due so some of our PhD Students successfully completing their studies, we have flats available NOW – ideal for international students already in the UK and looking to move.
If you are interested in taking a flat now, please fill in the application form today and we can arrange a viewing for you.
We are NOT yet allocating flats for September. If you have filled in the application form for a September start these are not yet being considered. We will update about timescales for September applications soon.
Most of our student housing is self-contained student flats with its own kitchens and bathrooms and even individual rooms have their own cooking facilities.
Our student accommodation is in character, older houses, in historic neighbourhoods typical of the London one knows from films and books. Because our student accommodation is in older properties much of it has high ceilings and interesting spaces – but you’ll be pleased to know that heating – which can be a significant cost these days in student flats, is included in the rent.
We offer rooms large (double) and small (single), self-contained studios (with their own kitchens and bathrooms), one bedroomed flats (many of which are large enough for someone with a family) and two bedroomed flats. Some of our student accommodation has gardens which are shared with other residents.
All of our postgraduate student accommodation has a laundry in the scheme. Rents always include water, heating and broadband. Some rents also include hot water and electricity but we’ll be clear exactly what’s in the rent when we offer you accommodation. Our student accommodation and student flats are furnished but you’ll need to provide bedding, cooking and kitchen utensils.

Zebra has over fifty years of experience in providing housing for international students, and offers students value for money.
We have five, centrally located London apartment blocks, all of which are within easy walking distance of public transport facilities and local amenities. The Association has 134 flats and provides accommodation to 250 people.
We have tenancies starting, and ending, throughout the year. We allow students to stay in their accommodation until they have completed their studies and this can be between 1 and 5 years.
“I lived in Jerome House, Zebra’s South Kensington property this past year and it was the best rental experience I’ve ever had. The office is very responsive and very helpful and attentive to repairs and super communicative on bigger issues. The building warden was kind and welcoming and the neighbours are friendly enough, but quiet and respectful. It was a fantastic community to live in. But don’t expect a lot of communal activity, all the units are pretty self-contained so there isn’t much interaction between you and your neighbours unless you seek it out.”
We’re back in the US now and I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed being tenants at Zebra for the past 6 years (on and off).
I would also like to say a big thank you to Alex and the maintenance staff for their exceptional services. There’s great comfort knowing that you’re in good hands with people who get the job done!
Wishing you and everyone at Zebra all the best, and if you’re ever in Washington D.C., please let us know.
I wanted to write you to extend my gratitude for the opportunity to have stayed at your property. From my first conversation with you, through to chatting about how to survive through a 14-day quarantine with an infant, the extreme attention to detail to keep us safe through Covid and your responsiveness – it’s been an outstanding experience. My daughter is 5 but someday when she gets to university, I’d love to see her live here at Zebra Housing when she goes to university and hopefully, she won’t have to endure a pandemic then.
I want to thank you and the zebra housing staff again for the kind and warm support during the past two years. You have made my life in London as an international student much easier. I really enjoyed my stay at zebra housing. I am going to miss the people and the lovely house. I hope I can see the lovely people at zebra housing again.
